When I tried the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but it will differ based on how much you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. Robot vacuums are excellent at removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get all dust. It's essential to clean your home often, at least once a week. The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range.
